Christmas Tomato Plant

A few months ago, Bill Erickson and I went and did our seasonal guerilla gardening adventure. If you are not familiar with guerilla gardening, look it up or watch this video. We came back a few weeks later and to our surprise one of the plants was doing remarkably well, even under full shade. I visit a nice little Italian restaurant around the corner and I’d always get it something to drink when I left, but that was only once a month or so.

After a couple of months had passed and the tomato plant was growing tall, someone (whom I don’t know) put a stake up and tied the guy up for support. This was exactly the response that I wanted from this adventure… letting people take care of something that needs taking care of.

Tonight, my girlfriend and I made our way over to the Italian restaurant and low and behold, we found this:
