The Brazos Locavores, the Brazos Valley Farmers Market and Village Cafe are joining together to start a new tradition: Locavore Lunch at Village Cafe. This event will take place on Saturday May 21st at 12:30 pm. Village Cafe’s staff will purchase food for the lunch at the Farmers Market Saturday morning and then prepare a special menu. During the lunch the Brazos Locavores will facilitate a discussion with Lita Rounds of RoundAcre Farm – talking about local food issues, what is in season, and RoundAcre Farm.
This will be a great event for everyone interested in supporting good local food. We hope it will be the first of many similar lunches!
Cost: No cost to attend, food and drink will be available for purchase at Village Cafe
